Math GEP - I need a larger recipe!!!

Our 1st ESO students have made a project about increasing the size of a recipe to accommodate a larger group of people using what they know about proportionality. This project have been very useful to give them real-world math knowledge.

Students have worked in pairs and have designed a poster showing all of the necessary information. Finally, they have presented their results to the class.

Some of them have shown to be very cretaives, using QR codes, recording videos and even cooking the recipe for the whole class!

Globalization, yes or not?

These days we were talking about globalization. All of the world's societies are being brought together in a single system in which they depend on and interact with each other economically, socially, politically and culturally. What do you think about it? Are you in favor or against globalization?

2n B. eTwinning Let's Write Tales with Sweden

2n ESO students have just started an eTwinning project with a Swedish Montessori school located in the small town of Ekerö, not far from Stockholm.

The project is called Let's write tales!

We watched the video and learnt to open our minds.

Our lives, our cultures, are composed of many overlapping stories. Novelist Chimamanda Adichie tells the story of how she found her authentic cultural voice — and warns that if we hear only a single story about another person or country, we risk a critical misunderstanding.
